We are SKY Social work
We’re Tash, Sarah and Sally—three qualified and experienced social workers who have come together to offer independent social work services, driven by a shared passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
After many years working within local authorities, we noticed a recurring and concerning pattern: families often left it too late to apply for Power of Attorney. Sadly, this can lead to complex legal processes, reduced autonomy, and increased stress during already difficult times. When Power of Attorney is no longer an option, applying for deputyship becomes necessary—a process that can feel overwhelming without the right support.
That’s where we come in.
We’re here to guide and support individuals and families through both preventative planning—like setting up Power of Attorney—and reactive situations, including deputyship applications when they’re needed. Our goal is to provide clear, compassionate, and practical help, so people can make informed decisions and feel more in control.
Whether you're planning ahead or facing challenges right now, we’re here for you—every step of the way.

Welcome to SKY Social Work
Hello, and thank you for visiting SKY Social Work. I’d like to share a little about who I am and the values that guide my practice.
I’ve been a qualified social worker since 2010, and alongside my professional experience, I bring personal insight as both a mother and a daughter. I’ve cared for a parent living with dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, and I understand the emotional weight, responsibility, and complexity that comes with supporting a loved one through such challenges. This lived experience fuels my passion for helping others navigate similar journeys with compassion and confidence.
Professionally, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings—including hospitals, community services, care of the elderly, mental health wards, prisons, and end-of-life care. I am committed to promoting least restrictive practices and upholding the rights of vulnerable individuals. My work is grounded in a strong understanding of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Human Rights Act 1998.
At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to person-centred, values-led social work. I believe in safeguarding human rights and ensuring that every individual’s voice is heard and respected in the decisions that affect their lives.

I'm a qualified social worker with over a decade of experience in adult social care, and began my career in 2013 in hospital social work, where I supported timely and effective hospital discharges. My focus has always been on ensuring that people receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time. I completed my Master’s in Social Work in 2018.
Currently, I work as a Professional Advisor in Adult Social Care, where I provide expert guidance to social workers across a range of complex practice areas. I specialise in the application of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Human Rights Act 1998. I’m passionate about helping practitioners build their legal literacy and confidence, and I regularly deliver training and develop practical guidance to support high-quality, ethical practice.
Professionalism is at the core of everything I do. I strive to lead by example—offering clear, thoughtful advice and fostering a culture of reflective, person-centred practice. I believe that social work is not just about services—it's about people.
That’s why I’m committed to keeping individuals at the heart of every decision, ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are upheld, and their dignity is respected.
My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep belief in social justice. I see human rights not as an abstract concept, but as a daily responsibility—something we must actively protect and promote in every aspect of our work.
